Default FHT logistics, pick up at Table Rock

I'm working out my plans and my sister will be picking me and my brother up at Table Rock. I've never been there and have a few questions.

How is cell service at the park?

Is it safe to road walk to the all you can eat restaurant in Pickens?

I've never done either. I don't think the road walk to Pickens is anything I'd rec. The roads can be narrow, cars going high speed, possibly involving sun glare, and the walk some distance. Although several FHT thrus I've hitched to TR SP. Once from Greenville SC to TR. Once to Ceasars Head SP from Greenville. Once from O SP back to Asheville NC. I find it usually easier and part of the hike's expenses to arrange a FHT List shuttle. I've always used Heward Douglas.

My AT&T phone has virtually no service at Table Rock Park.

Got some info from the folks at Table Rock. If you have the SC inland parks pass, that's the blue one, you don't have to pay overnight parking. just need to register at the office.
