    Default Brooks Cascadia 13

Does anyone have any experience/input on the Brooks Cascadia 13, their newest edition of the Cascadia. Thanks

    Working from memory.
A thru hiker on the CDT in 2018 replaced a pair of the 12s with the 13s at the Dillon, Colorado REI Store.
He finished the CDT in a second pair of the 13s around October 1, 2018.
He was very complimentary of the shoes in his videos.
    The videos are at SeekingLost.com.

I've had a pair for a while. They have a harder toe cap than previous versions. The mesh is wearing out on the inside of each shoe, up near the tongue. An odd place. It's not something that will cause me to discard the shoes, though. And it may have something to do with the fact that I've mostly been hiking in northern Arizona, in very abrasive, volcanic soil.

The thing they have that I really like is a little pocket at the top of the tongue where you can tuck the laces. Never trip on your shoe laces, or stab the point of your hiking poles through a loop, again.

IMG_0041.JPGYou can sort of see the worn spots right above the tongue.

Just bought a pair. I've been hiking in Altra Lone Peaks for the past two years but have been having AT and calf issues. Hoping these will work out. Will update next week.
