Default Kay Wood Shelter and Upper Goose Pond Cabin

Am planning on doing a 2-3 day hike through here at the end of May, and had pencilled in staying at these 2 places

Any info i should take into account? How likely will they be full? What time to be people generally start filling places up? Or is it all just a lottery

You should have no trouble at either place. Way too early for crowds. Both are first-come, first-served, and UGPC serves pancakes for breakfast....free, but a donation is nice.

Great thanks, what is an appropriate donation?

I don't know what's "proper" but I always leave $5 per person at least to cover the pancakes.

Cabin opens May 18th. You will see other campers at both places, more if the weather is decent.
