it Was 89f (Real Temp.) at 6:30 A.M. today. Is anyone planning to hike in the Northeast, this weekend?

The parking lots in the Northern Presidential in NH are full today (saturday). I was out hiking yesterday an it was quite pleasant in the great gulf area. No so pleasant when I hiked down.

I pity all the thru hikers between VA and NH right now. Maybe dealing with Feb and March weather isn't so bad after all. At least you'd have a good chance of finishing before this brutal, disabling heat arrives.
Had a low of 70 degrees at 1500 feet at my place last night. Up to 86 and not quite noon. Good day to take a book to shady spot down by the river for the afternoon.

By the way, still some snow in Tuckerman's Ravine on the side of Mt Washington.
