Administration wants to sell land along AT?

I read in the Charlotte Observer yesterday that the US forestry service is planning to sell large tracts of land along the TN/NC line. The public has until March 30 to respond to this... Does anyone care about this? Will development in this area affect the views along the AT?? Is there some kind of petition somewhere you can sign if you are against this?
