    Here in the Knoxville area, the forecast for M-T-W-Th this week is 94, 94, 95, 96.
    Normal highs are 77, 76, 76, 75.
    Previous records (set in 1888/1884) are 91, 92, 93, 94.
    Tomorrow is the first day of OCTOBER!

    Some relief is on the way beginning Friday.

    I've only hiked 250ish miles of the AT but most of it has been in VA. If you start in Rockfish Gap and go north to Harpersferry, you can end at the ATC which would be a nice treat. SNP is nice trail and it will get you in shape for the roller coaster north of the park.
