SoVa just got alot of rain this past weekend/ early week. I have not been up there since the spring but the following has always held true for me.

I have always found water heading up mt rogers on the south side of the mountain.
Thomas knob has never been dry for me
The stream just north of Wise shelter has always been flowing for my trips
There is also a stream in between Wise shelter and the scales that has a little foot bridge that has always been flowing for me
If you take the pine crest trail to bypass Wise shelter there is a big clearing and a campsite about a mile past rodo gap - on down the trail 100 yards is a little low spot that is a piped spring. Most people miss it, and it gets slow but I have been able to get water here when I really needed it, just not very fast.

I was up in the area trout fishing yesterday. While I did not get up on the trail the creeks below Mt Rogers had decent water levels. I spoke to two hikers coming out of Grayson Highlands toward Damascus and both said they had no issue with water. Rain is expected today and tomorrow as well.
