    Post Donn Fendler Dies

Donn Fendler, the boy who survived 9 days in Mt. Katahdin 80 years ago just died this past week.

There's a book about him called "Lost on a Mountain in Maine." It's quite an inspiring story. Such a good person too. I would've loved to meet him someday. It's sad to see him leave

He inadvertently dropped down into the Klondike at BSP in followed it out the Northwest Basin and then out via the Wassatquoik. The Klondike is rarely visited today as its reportedly close to impassible to foot travel.

Thanks for this. I had heard about his ordeal in passing, but somehow never heard about this book and will definitely check it out.

Wow. I didn't even notice that. But it looks like they're gonna make a movie out of it. That will be very cool
