Default Trail running has replaced backpacking

Trail running has dominated my (limited) free time. Long runs have replaced section hikes.
Then someone suggested a quick overnight before the nights get too cold and I thought about whiteblaze.net. Thought I would pop-in and check out the latest gear arguments and trail issues. Fun stuff.

Enjoy this video of a short trail run. It contains a random race with two kids, a horse, and a flyby of Windsor Furnace Shelter.

ha ha. If anything is worth doing it's worth doing faster ...is the motto for some ...but NOT ALL...all the time.

It's interesting to play with terrain and the trail at speed. It's not my favorite but does give a different perspective on the trail and the lay of the trail. Have fun

2100 may be a tad overkill but The Western States 100 is a viable option to take trail running to a new level.

I got into 100s because I didn't have time for long distance hiking any more.
