Dogs are excellent judges of character, this fact goes a long way toward explaining why some people don't like being around them.

You're welcome. Just stay away from the pre-packaged stuff -- it's full of sodium
The older I get, the faster I hiked.

To 1 1/2 cups of water add 1 cup of Creamette fine egg noodles at less than 5 mg, a packet of Herb Ox sodium free chicken or beef granulated bouillon, freeze dried veggies for less than 40 mg, and a 2.5 oz pack of low sodium tuna for 140 mg. Add olive oil if you want more calories. Boil and enjoy for less than 200 mg. Not the most delicious meal I have had on the trail but it does the job.

If you’re hiking in hot weather you can lose sodium and you may be able to consume a bit above that limit to avoid electrolyte imbalance ( but still no high sodium commercial dehydrated stuff). Dehydrating your own food or mixing ingredients like harmony house works well. If car camping there are good low sodium broths, just add veggies, spice and protein choice and you have low sodium stew. Where most people make mistakes is with bread, which often has surprisingly high sodium content.
