Trail Run around Damascus at Trail Days

Has any sort of race like that ever been brought up as part of the Trail Days schedule of events?

There are all sorts of competitive types and in shape folks at the festival who would partake in such a race.

And the length of the race could be whatever! Endurance would be no issue with this crowd.

A multi-loop event would get the townfolk and hikers to see the racers several times during the race.

3 years ago they had the 1st and last annual Creeper Trail 5k run to benefit the high school marching band. A hiker won it. This October there will be a 50 mile trail run beginning and ending in Damascus.
