    Default Pinhoti Trail Section Hke

Thinking of doing a long weekend section of the Pinhoti in early spring. Does anyone here have any good suggestions for a 30-40 mile section that is fairly scenic? I've heard that the Cheaha Wilderness is pretty nice hiking.

The Cheaha Wilderness is great. I've done the Pinhoti from Adams Gap trailhead to the Cheaha trailhead, as well as some other trails in the area to make loops. A few miles from Adams gap is the Stairway to Heaven, which is an extremely steep climb up a rock garden. That's a 10 mile section or so.
Time is but the stream I go afishin' in.

I’d start at Cheaha SP and head Southbound. Lots of highlights of the whole trail on that stretch.

Also, if you start at Cheaha State Park you can park your car there. Just park in the hotel parking lot.

I definitely agree with Southbound. Then you go down the Stairway to Heaven rather than up it.
