Default ONLINE Wilderness First Aid Certification Course Available NOW through April 30th.

    Dear Friends,

We hope all of you are all staying safe and staying home in these trying times.

In response to this pandemic, MEDIC SOLO is now working to launch an on-line Disaster + Travel + Wilderness First Aid (dtWFA) course experience which supports "flatten-the-curve" + WHO + CDC + government guidelines, and still gets you the full educational experience of our usual 2-day course, *and* your 2-year SOLO WFA certification!

    More info at:

NOW is when your dtWFA skills may be needed most!
    1. Hospital beds are filling up and we need to reduce their demand. Our dtWFA skills can potentially give you skills to treat someone so that they no longer need to go to the hospital.
    2. People are encouraged to get outdoors for fresh air and natural exercise. Our government is waiving entrance fees to National Parks. Some parks are seeing their highest-ever midweek daytime visitorship. More certified first aiders will be needed, as more first-timers go explore the outdoors.
    3. Hopefully the following will never happen: calls to 911 for medical assistance is may become less responsive, or outbreaks may occur within hospitals, leaving those facilities quarantined and unavailable ... then dtWFA-trained folks will be crucial in managing situations and providing care.

Whether you are signing up for the first time or feel the need for a refresher, this course is designed to fully run from your home. We trust you will only have paid participants viewing.

There will be two portions to the course.
    1) LECTURE portion almost exactly as MEDIC SOLO always presents it. It will be available for online viewing in the next day or two . There will be guided practice, short lectures and skills you will develop on your own. As always in our classes, there will be multiple-choice quizzes to take and pass.
    >>> Bonus: You will be able to pause to take notes and rewind whenever you want; you will be able to watch the various parts of it at your comfortable leisure any time before #2 below.

    2) INTERACTIVE HANDS ON SKILLS development and scenarios, live with one of our expert instructors, any weekend through end-April and possibly a mid-week option too. You will need a webcam as this will be a live online video workshop with the instructor, and other participants. The instructor will answer your questions, view and guide your skills development, and run hands-on scenarios with you (and someone close to you not needing social distancing, ideally also taking the class so you can rotate roles of caregiver and patient) in your home almost exactly like they would do in class.
    >>> Bonus: even-better student-instructor ratio. Your skills/scenarios workshop will have likely 8 or fewer participants

We hope you can join us!

    The MEDIC team
