Default Looking for Pros and Cons for PCT in 2021

June start at Ashland, Oregon, head north to the terminus and then head south from Ashland to Mexico.

Can use all the section permits for Washington.

I suppose it depends on how much it snows this coming winter. I didn't think permits were needed for Washington?

Sounds very reasonable, I like it, I might copycat given how my PCT attempt this year went t!t$ up.... The easy terrain in OR will be a nice warmup, but as Slo said, if 2020-21 is a heavy snow winter in WA, that might be annoying. I suppose you could always just shift your start point 2 weeks or so south into Northern CA, something like that.

Southern CA in the fall would be awesome too. Again, I like it.

I think be flexible, set your expectations low so you won’t be surprised
