Default Best place to buy a used BearVault BV500?

Looking towards the PCT and the bear canister requirement.

Seems like a lot of PCT hikers are likely to never need their bear canister again and that buying them used should be a staple activity.

My use of Google just isn’t helping me find the right place so I decided to just ask after a couple fruitless hours of searching.

    thanks!

You could put a wanted to buy (WTB) post in this forum https://whiteblaze.net/forum/forumdi...ying-Used-Gear

and you could search the for sale forum as well https://whiteblaze.net/forum/forumdi...ling-Used-Gear.

I found my BV450 at a gear consignment shop. I bought with the intention of using is in the sierras and then selling it after my section hike was done. I loved it so much that I didn’t end up selling it. Heavy, but no math involved.

Use "nobear12" until 5/10 for 12% off a bearvault at garage grown gear.

that makes sense. I’ve not seen them for sale on Whiteblaze or Geartrade, etc.

I guess people just keep them.

I kept mine after upgrading to a Bearikade Blazer. Thought was, my wife's BV450 might not be big enough for some trips and she doesn't want to spend her personal money on a Bearikade.

Thanks all. I got one in the original box and shipping for about fifty dollars and am happy with it.

Weighs less and holds more than my wife’s canister she bought two years go. Major improvement
