About to hike a 50 mile section South of Fontana - Looks like the nights will be in the low 50's. Do you think I should bring a bug net for my hammock?

The more relevant information is, what will the temps be at bedtime? They may be plenty above bug territory. You have to account for the whole night, not just the portion near the low.
That said you may find an insect head net sufficient, if the rest of you is covered and protected from bug bites through the hammock.
Yep - Very true - I was hoping someone had hiked this section recently and had some info. I generally hike in cooler weather, but the Covid thing pushed me back a bit. I think I am going to give it a go with no net and bring a small bit of bug spray for my face for sleeping.
