Default How to repair a torn Silnylon poncho?

Unlucky me, during my most recent trip I've torn my Exped Poncho.

Its said to be made of 15D Silnylon and PU-coated.
Its not clear which side is what material, in the past I've tried to fix a tiny hole with Seamgrip appleid on the outside, which didn't stick properly and started to peel off soon.
So most likely, the outside is Silicone, and propably the inside is PU?
The rip happened exactly at the center of the wrinkles between the shoulder and the hump for the pack (see pic II in the website linked below). It is about 4 inches long and would need a proper patch.

Any idea which patch material, and which glue I should use?

This is the product I'm speaking of:

I patched a hole in a silnylon Tarp Tent using silicone sealant - https://www.homedepot.com/p/Loctite-...8570/303769575 - and a piece of silnylon that Tarp Tent sent me. Worked well and never leaked.
If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.

Thanks, unfortunately for your link I get
    "Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://www.homedepot..."

But I think I get the idea, and will try a silicone sealent.
Downside is, the said poncho is 7yrs old now and Exped is providing a 5yr warranty - on close inspection of the piece I discovered that all the seam taping the manufacturer had applied are lose now and supposedly all the seams are leaking a bit now.
I guess its just at the end of its life.

You can find SilNet Silicone seam sealant listed on Rockywoods.com. I have attached a link below.

What did Exped say when you asked them?

Seems like Exped might be the best source of information for their product.

Exped points to the dealers as the first contact in case of warranty or repair.
I'm just in the process of contacting the dealer (they cut down operating hours recently, unfortunately).

    Update on this topic:
Finally got the dealer on the phone, and they offered me a factory repair for about 20,-, free shipping from/to the dealer included.
    Thats a kind offer!
He also stated that the material is inside PU coated, and outside Silicone treated.
