So I decided to go up Finley Cane Trail to #18 on Saturday. I'm wondering if I will need to take gloves and a warm beanie and warm sleep clothes. I think its gonna rain but don't know about night temps.

That is relatively low elevation so the temperature likely will be close to the forecast for Gatlinburg with a low in upper sixties. However a possible thunderstorm could make it seem much cooler. Don't know about gloves unless you need them to handle a hot cook pot.
I almost always carry a beanie and a wool pullover just in case.
i agree with the above post.....
also, fwiw, if one has never been to 18 before-----there are nice private sites on the west side of the creek...
follow the little path down stream and there's some fire pits along with bear cables....
I think I'll leave my puffy jacket, gloves, and base bottoms in the car and carry my hooded merino wool pullover. Thanks guys.
The rain in the forecast seems to be keeping the lows this weekend close to 70º. No need for gloves or a wool pullover for those temps.
My standard gear for those temperatures is a set of rain gear and a wool hat.
I had a good overnight hike but it was really hot and humid. Definitely did not need warm clothing. Hiking clothes never dried out after sweating during the hike in to 18 via West Prong.
