OP is not worried about snoring per se, he is worried about dying.
ResMed has a small sub 1 pound travel CPAP that runs on a battery pack said to last 1-2 nights depending on pressures you run and how many hours you sleep. You would have to carry a couple battery packs and then charge.
I do not have obstructive sleep apnea, mine is central apnea. My heart stops several times per night for up to 8 seconds. Whether I am in my bed or in my tent, the risk is the same for me. CPAP does not help me. If I was OP, I would look into the dental prosthetic although they are like 3-4,000 bucks and often not covered.
