I was told Bradley Fork and campsite 49 is on the Indian Reservation and that you have to buy a license from them. Is that correct?

the smokies permit website has an interactive map that clearly shows the reservation boundary. 49 is not in the reservation. as far as fishing license goes, i don't fish, so i don't know.
that does not sound correct...
as mentioned, just need a license...
and either a TN or a NC license will work in the Park...
they honor both states since the park is in both of those states...
that also allows one to fish on fontana....
the cherokee license is if you were to fish in the reservation...
people fish the lower part of oconaluftee creek and raven fork (along with other streams in the reservation)......
they also stock those two creeks.......
Raven Fork and Oconaluftee River have one small "hiccup" in the fishing regulations mentioned above.
You have to have a Cherokee Fishing License if you want to fish the section of these waters inside GSMNP but down stream from the Indian Reservation.
I can't find that detail online, but it's spelled out in the "Great Smokey Mountains Fishing Regulations" pamphlet.
