Repairing a sleeping bag with tears

Hey all, I have a goose down bag with a nylon shell with a small but notable rip that will affect insulation, what are some ways to repair such things that y'all have found effective? Appreciate y'all!

Gear-Aid Tenacious Tape works great. I carry 6 inches in my repair kit.

I've had great luck with "Bondex Outdoor Restore" pressure sensitive nylon patches. No longer sold as such where I bought them (2 pk of 8" x 8" sheet). Closest thing I can find current marketed is this:

I obviously need a nap. Read the thread title and couldn't figure out what tears (that come from your eyes) were good for in this case.

I could have used some of this on the CT this year. Had some rodents chew through the screen on my tent. Thanks for the info.

I could see myself crying over a torn sleeping bag, but I really don't see how tears are going to help fix the sleeping bag.

If I cry too many tears on my sleeping bag, I usually just put in the dryer for about 10 min and the loft comes back.

I have used tenacious tape for a field repair on an old sleeping bag. Worked for that purpose, but it was a winter bag and the tape would peel off after awhile, so I can't personally recommend something like that for a proper long-term cheap repair

Every hiker seems to carry some kind of magic (tenacious/gorilla/duct/whatever) tape for multi purpose.
So do I, carrying a roll of Leukoptape Classic.
It sticks like hell, I use it for dressing wounds, mending blisters, taping sprained joints, repairing broken stuff, sealing leaking Thermarest, and fixing a ripped tent, jacket or sleepingbag.

I agree with the tape fix. Unless you're a phoenix, I wouldn't bother with tears; they will just get things wet.

The Black Tenacious tape has worked for me (down jacket) but not the clear version. For some reason that did not stick well (down vest).
Maybe it was the vest material, anyone else has had the problem ?
