Default Where should I leave my car at the northern terminus for a nobo thru hike?

Planning a nobo thru hike this spring and need to know where a reasonably safe place is to leave my vehicle. Thanks!

You could always leave it at the Ranger station from what I understand. You could also potentially leave it at Standing Bear and hike from the BMT terminus to there. That makes for an easy jump onto the interstate to drop off and leave when finished.

I parked at the Big Creek RS back in 2017 with no problem other than my car was filthy with pine tree sap when I returned. Had to wash the windows so I could see!

    yeah.....

ranger station is the "best" place....

the rangers will occasionally make rounds and check stuff around there, but
if you want more eyes on your vehicle, standing bear or some other private place (which guessing
would also charge) might have more people around it...

the only downside would be getting from the terminus to standing bear...

the ranger station is just down the road (maybe half mile or more) from the terminus
    at big creek......

i wouldnt leave car in the big creek parking lot for an extended time....

i know they were getting some break ins at that lot----mainly cause we could see the camera
up in the trees...........no need for a "hidden" camera is it's a safe lot...
