    Default DIY bottle pockets modification

Every get tired of leaning forward and your water bottles falling out? Taking that mad dash crash and your water bottles fly out everywhere...breaking your caps or filter? Well, do I have the solution for you. With 2 simple, cheap purchases on amazon linked below YOU can have the new and extremely technical Gambit McCrae water bottle suspension system.

So now that I got the cheesy stuff out of the way, I simply took a sharp tent stake and ran it through the bottle pocket material, I then took a length of elastic cord and a quick draw clamp and made simple water bottle holders. No more bottles falling out, or loosing them or water bottles hitting the back of your arms while walking. Pictures to come soon

Have any ideas on a better way to reach your water bottle stuffed in the side pocket? I can sometimes get it out and convince myself I can get it back in, but I always have to take my pack off to do it. I do carry water on my shoulder strap, but sometimes I'll have something flavored in the side pocket or vice versa, or the strap bottle is empty and I need to switch.
    It is what it is.

If you're using a bottle, you can turn it upside down to stick it back in easily. You need deep pockets tho, and make sure you screw that lid on tight!

Chicken Tramper Ultralite has a great water bottle holder.

I have tried at least four water bottle holders, and this is my favorite.

The water bottle holder that has worked great for me for a few years.
I clip it to the horizontal strap on my shoulder strap
It holds the .7L smart water bottles just fine but not the .5L bottles.

The bison D ring bottle holder.

Apologize for my post above. It is not a bottle pocket mod.
