Default Mountain House kills Raspberry Crumble

I got the official word today that it is in fact permanently discontinued.

Needless to say I will be making my own as hiking is just impossible without Raspberry Crumble. Anyone know where to get freeze dried Oriole crumbs?

In the past Monty Python has dealt with dead parrots, but as to Orioles, you may need to contact your local Ornithologist.
The older I get, the faster I hiked.

You're thinking of the Baltimore variety - they play like cr^p.

It was good but it wasn't a good meal plan for the night as I recall. I think it was 3 or 4 servings (?) so I called it my main course for the night but in the end I wished I had split it into desert for a few nights. All the rest of their 2-3 serving meals I could plow and still be hungry for more, this one was hard to finish it all. Like I said not cause it was bad, just wasn't a good meal choice.

I've been looking for better healthier options for freeze dried meals and thanks to recommendations on here I've tried Pack It Gourmet, Good To-Go, Trailtopia, Heather's Choice and maybe 1 or 2 more I'm not thinking of. All of them have been more pricy but also much more satisfying.

LazyLightening- its desert not a meal and IRC it was supposedly 4 serving per pouch. I alway repackage #10 cans but in the case of Raspberry crumble, the #10 was just the inner bags of 3 pouches. Regardless I repacked as vacuum sealed bags of 2 servings which I always ate in addition to a regular serving of MH dinner
Desert is just a bunch of empty calories which works for me as a final pick me up to wipe out any residual fatigue from the day. I've have actually never hiked without it and I'm coming up on 1/4 of the AT completed. So after the haha, I'm going to be making my own version.

Let us know what you come up with. I would like to try it.

Let's see... "sugar ... inflammatory corn oil... sugar... GMO gluten wheat flour ... toxic partially hydrogenated soybean oil (transfat) ... toxic HFCS ... toxic soy lechithin. In total, 21 grams (1.6 tablespoons) of sugar per serving.

This is metabolic poison. Good riddance!

I ordered FD Raspberries today from North Bay Trading and will be sourcing metabolic poisons for making up a substitute. Unfortunately North Bay is out of the best blend of pieces and powdered berries so I will be using whole berries for a while until North Bay gets more stock.
On a side note I discovered people make chocolate cookie crumbles directly without making cookies so that is nice for those without a blender.

So say tuned for upcoming recipes.

Thanks for the post, thats about the most accurate depiction of modern nutritional science I've seen. We know so much but understand so little all these pronouncements are meaningless.
