Default Just bought a used Gregory Boltoro. Have a question from anyone familiar this critter

    Hi
So I took a chance and bought a used Boltoras 65. Medium Torso, on EBay. Overall I’m pleased but as I start adjusting it, I find there is a part missing.
I will enclose a picture. Some straps were not going to the right places but I think I have it straightened out. It seems however that I am missing the male part of the snap shown.
Do you think I can find new piece, and …
    1. What will I notice if I just leave it as is? (Don’t fix the missing snap)?
    2. What is the function of the faulty connection?
    3. There is a capacity to lower the top of the shoulder strap down one step. Which I needed to do to make it fit. Is this the only torso adjustment that there is on the Gregory Boloras?
Thanks! I want to be happy with my gamble🙂
    I greatly appreciate any help

So I just found the Gregory site. (Which I should have done first. Duh) I’m sure I can find the snap.
I guess I’m kind of rushed because I need to decide about keeping it.

I've been carrying a Baltoro pack for over a decade. Just bought my second one - not because the first one had problems - it was just showing some wear & tear and the newer version was lighter and had some nice features.

There should be a long strap on the front of the pack (with a male connector) that can go over the top and fasten to the strap you've shown in the picture. It's the only strap I've never used, so I'm pretty sure you'll be fine without it. I guess you could use it to fasten something onto the top of the pack if you wanted to, but it doesn't seem like it would be very secure.
It's all good in the woods.

    Thanks!
There is another snap coming off of the center of the brain. I can’t see what hooks to it. Please have a look at the next photo.

You were exactly right. That strap was run through another snap. I finally got it all straightened out.
    Thank You very much
