Keep it up with the "beep beep" responses, and you might!

*** does that mean, anyhow? Do you do that just becuase you want to post something, but don't have anything constructive to add?

    Default Dog Tag

All you have to do is ask Cabela's...

In reference to your question, the Cabela's 650 Goose Down Vest - Regular Item:XF-921565 is going to be 10 ounces with 3.6 ounces of fill within them.

Like Neo said.....this is a good deal, especially compared to Montbell etc.

    I'm gona get one!!

Cabela's offers only the best down outerwear to our customers, and 650 Goose Down is the best of the best.
    and
Cabela’s Premier Northern Goose down will always loft to 650 fill power making it some of the highest-grade down available.
If you click on "materials", that's what you get. While I realize that's marketing bull*****, it just goes to speak to their willingless to outright lie. While the current method of measuring loft tends to break down once you get above 850ish, Cabelas does not have "the best of the best" with their 650 down. I wonder what the feather to down ratio is. My guess is it's 20/80.

I'll take my Nunatak Skaha sweater, thanks. Sure, it's 10 times the price. It's also a hell of a lot warmer, lighter, with more fill. With value being described as the price one is willing to pay for a product, this decision is a value based judgement.

Neo, I've had good luck with the two things I've bought through Cabelas -- the New Balance 851 hikers and some fairly inexpensive synthetic hiking socks. Within a month or so of my on-line purchase, though, I got a fund-raising appeal from the NRA in the mail. I can't figure out any other way that I wound up on an NRA mailing list other than my contact with Cabelas. I know different people here at WhiteBlaze have widely varying opinions on the NRA, but some members might like a heads up on this, just to avoid having a coniption fit someday when they open their mailbox.
