good luck to him
my brother in law just got diagnosed last fall. he has the worst type of it. rapidly progressing, no remission periods, etc. he already had to go on disability. he's 50 years old! there is some question as to whether his father had it, undiagnosed, before he died at about 57 years old. as the article says, it often goes undiagnosed. my BIL actually has the brain lesions that are sometimes associated with parkinson's.
I worry that TheOtherHalf may end up with it. Though it's not supposed to be genetic, there have been concerning "symptoms" come and go in my husband.

A vigorous five-mile walk will do more good for an unhappy but otherwise healthy adult than all the medicine and psychology in the world. ~Paul Dudley White
My belief is that pumping a ton of blood through your brain is the best thing that someone with such an affliction you could possibly do.
