    Default Using Uber in NY/NJ

Is UBER a viable option in NY/NJ?

Particularly, we are considering pick-ups and/or drop-offs at High Point State Park, I-87 (Elk Penn Parking), and US-301.

I have used Uber successfully in spots from PA to MA day hiking the AT. I have also been offered rides from other hikers at the trailhead and didn't need the order the uber. Never a problem and usually a 15 minute wait, and NJ is one of the more populated sections, so I would not expect any issues. You can check Uber/Lyft to see if they have cars in the area at home for that section by putting in it's location for pickup and the other trailhead for dropoff (just don't order the ride) to see the coverage in the area.

    Happy Trails
