Default Devils fork gap to US 19E

Looking to do a section from Devils fork gap to US 19E. Anyone know of any good/safe parking near 19E/Elk Park? I did a section going south starting from Devils Fork last summer and don't recall good parking at devils fork but I did get dropped off after dark by my driver so maybe I could park at that end and go south again if that would be an option. Hoping there is something close to 19E so can go North. Thanks in advance for any replies.

The safest is considered paying for parking at Mountain Harbour, just off US 19E. There are (free) spaces off 19E but there have long been warnings that it's not save to park there...

Mountain Harbour will also shuttle you, and if you need it, they'll feed you and rent you a bunk for the night.

I've often wondered how outdated the warning about parking at the 19E trailhead is. I've also heard a few times but cannot verify that the warnings about parking started after certain establishments started charging for parking.

Mountain Harbor would the safest regardless since it's off the highway.

In other words, concern about hiking & parking there goes back about 30 years.

Since vandals can now get about $200 worth of metal from a parked car in a couple of minutes

I'd be hesitant to park a car along ANY roadside.
