    Default Fat Man Squeeze

I have hiked the AT through the Grayson Highlands/Mt. Rogers areas and enjoyed the Fat Man Squeeze. Going back with friends but considering hopping on to the Wilburn Ridge blue blaze trail, then merging with the AT. Would we miss the Fat Man Squeeze if we do that? Thank you for your time!

Yes you would miss the squeeze if you do the entire ridge trail. But I think the ridge is better anyway. It's only a couple miles in total as I recall; if you have time do both. I usually find a way to do both even on weekend trips there.

Wilburn Ridge is so nice I'd do them both---the AT and Wilburn Ridge---and maybe there's another trail up there too.
