What an awesome experience for the students!
Yes, indeed. You learn a lot about the world and about yourself when you have to confront challenges in unacusstomed settings.
Every time I click on the link it wants me to subscribe and I can't read the article. But yeah for sure get them kids out there in some fresh air, nature , self reliance, learning basic outdoor skills, pain, discomfort, out of their comfort zones real character building activities. They learn alot about themselves and each other alot more by working their way through all this 40 miles challenge.
I think the NY Times only allows you to view their website a few times a month if you don't have a subscription.
Last time I checked, it was 10 views per month for non-subscribers. Cookies keep track...
