Going to be around Lake Blue Ridge this fall. What sections have the best scenery for day hikes?
I have only done the DyerGap area.

I did Springer to Ocoee back in March. If your up for a little drive south, I enjoyed the Springer Mtn to Skeenah gap rd sections a lot. I got to see some of the AT (was kind of a circus that day) and then left the crowd as the BMT took off on it's own. Enjoyed the Three forks area, crossing the bridge and some nice views. I hit it before the leaves came out though so I had some unobstructed views. Closer to Blue Ridge lake, Falls Branch is worth a look. It attracts some weekend crowds but not bad. You said you've done the Dyer Gap area, that was a favorite too. Further North, Big Frog was another favorite. You'd probably get a nice view up there no matter the leaf cover.
How is the Brawley Mtn section

The section between Hwy 60 and Hwy 60 (Skeenah Gap Road north and south) is pretty unremarkable but I haven't done the Brawley Mtn piece. Springer to Hwy 60 (first crossing of it) is really good.
