Free parking in hot springs overnight?

We're section hiking from Davenport to Erwin in a few days.
Leaving car in Hot springs.
Is there anywhere to park there over night?

There is a trailhead behind laughing heart hostel but I have been told it is day use only. That really needs to be verified. If it is overnight parking okay, its a great spot. On south end of town.

Interesting to read! Just to verify to anyone reading, the parking behind laughing heart is OK for overnight parking, even though they told me years ago that it was for day use only. Interesting considering they charge for overnight parking...

There is a USFS parking lot at the western AT trailhead in Hot Springs, just behind Laughing Heart. I recently left a car there while I was section hiking for 6 days. Laughing Heart also has a parking lot, but they charge $10/day to use it. In addition, there is also free public parking next to Big Pillow Brewing.

there's a community parking lot in town referred to as the gravel lot. we parked there for 2 nights last year with no issues.

Yes, the HS town parking lot is on the east end of town, half a block north of the main drag (Bridge St.)
