Glad you like it.. esp given you were a ‘tough sale’ in the beginning . If interested, and along the same lines, you might want to check out the 10sec quick-tie Rolling Hitch version. This one is great for clotheslines - can be tied on a bight so you tie the end anchors first. I use Marlinspike knots for clothespins (which use a lot of slack), so this type adjustment system is ideal for it. Then there’s also this soft shackle zip-tie bracelet that’s really useful camping. The other 2 knots are Ashely Stopper and Adjustable Grip Hitch (and I’ve now added a 4th wrist coil on mine).

Anyways, thanks trying it out and following-up.

    Glad I replicated it correctly!

I love the variety of hitches, and it's fun to play with them and see which is best for each material and job.

For my guy lines I'll likely stick with my present arrangement but for folks who are experimenting with options I'll definitely point them to your alternative.

For 3/32" shock cord replacement head lamp 'bands' I use a grip hitch with 2 wraps... juuuuuust the right amount of friction to hold it in place but still adjustable.
