Default Mexicali Rose Instant Refried Beans - where to find?

Amazon has a 6 or 7oz pouch of Mexicali Rose Instant Refried Beans for almost $8.

Walmart says it usually costs $2.38 but it's out of stock.

I didn't see it listed at Target and I can't find it in my local Shop-Rite grocery store.

Any other suggestions on places to check?

    Any other good substitutions?

Thanks for the links Zelph! I can't find Santa Fe in my local grocery store, Walmart or Target either. The one listing on Amazon has it for $5 with $10 shipping.

I’ll second the Santa Fe brand. Good at home and on the trail.
Try ordering from Walmart.com. Not everyone knows about this service. It’s been getting better and better during the Covid Nonsense.
    Good luck!

The Santa Fe brand doesn't show up when I search Walmart. The Mexicali Rose brand shows up for Walmart but has been marked as "out of stock" or "unavailable" for me the past few weeks that I've been checking. Anyway thanks for chiming and if anyone has any leads plz post and let us know! Thanks!

I never had trouble finding the Santa Fe brand in Texas supermarkets or Walmarts. Pre-COVID!
Perhaps you can find an online source in Texas? Or direct from Santa Fe?
Good luck! They are worth the effort!

Not sure how they compare to Mexicali but I typically order a 3 lb bag of Casa Corona Instant Mexican Style Refried Beans off Amazon. $23.50 at the moment.

The reviews on those are really good so I'll purchase a bag and see for myself. Thanks Slugg!

I went to the Santa Fe web pages. The beans that I am familiar with are sold out. Crazy!
    Amazon is silly expensive.
    Good luck!

Yeah - thanks Venchka! I emailed Santa Fe basically saying hey where can I purchase your product. I'll share if I get a reply, nothing yet.

Never got a reply from Santa Fe . . anyone ever try the "a dozen cousins" brand? Appears to be selling at Whole Foods for $3.99.
