Default Backpacking the Hammersley Wild Area (PA)

    https://endlessmountains.wordpress.c...-state-forest/

An overnight backpack into the Hammersley Wild Area this fall. The colors were incredible, as were the views from the meadows. To complete the loop I used an off trail ridgewalk with meadows and views of the canyon. This loop has some great campsites and streamside hiking.

Thanks for your post and the account/photos. I hiked a bit of this yesterday, and in mid-June, the mountain laurels are in full bloom. A beautiful sight to see for sure! I hope to return and backpack it, so I'm digging around for more info and found this.
