I've occasionally seen posts on WB (and some Dixie YouTube videos) about this issue. From a male point-of-view this strikes me as very convenient.
But then what do I know.

"When a man sits with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute.
But let him sit on a hot stove for a minute--and it's longer than any hour.
That's relativity." --Albert Einstein--
I almost never hike in pants. I hike in shorts. And when I have pants on they are my wind pants. It's easy enough to use a pee funnel device. No squatting to pee. I wouldn't use pants like this for pooping unless maybe I was in the frozen tundra and I didn't want to freeze my bum completely, but then again, I don't hike in winter so these hold NO interest from me.

A vigorous five-mile walk will do more good for an unhappy but otherwise healthy adult than all the medicine and psychology in the world. ~Paul Dudley White
Imagine if the zipper jams.
I prefer using a funnel (P-style).
I think if I were doing a thru hike on a long trail, I might consider them. I haven’t ran into any Issues going the old fashioned way, myself.
