Google "used backpacking gear exchange" and your city to look for a local source. Many great small businesses have sprung up selling gear on consignment. It is nice to be able to see and touch the gear as opposed to buying online looking at pics. It also reduces the carbon footprint of the item since no shipping is involved. We have a really nice one in my town, but you don't want to drive that far
