For morning poo dig your cat hole the night before when there is a break in the rain.
If camping remotely you can wear a raincoat and be naked from the waist down while squatting.

Agree on pre-dug cat hole too. And a good idea to hang something reflective there too, so you can find it. That tree that looks unique in the calm of evening looks the same as all the rest when the poop train is “comin’ round the mountain, when she comes…”
I never found the need to pre dig my cat hole. For one I don't want to have to find it or go to the exact spot in the morning and if it really was that urgent I could just go first when I get out there then dig the cat hole next to it and bury it after. I never had to do that but it was on my mind as a "just in case". To each their own though, that's just me.

Oh, I always poop first, dig second. I always have a bit of urgency or at least “now or never” to my need to go, so it’s hard enough to get to a good spot in the woods.
I like the idea of raincoat on top and nothing on bottom for the AM rain poop. Still seems tricky to manage TP in the wet.
That pre-dug cat hole can be hard to find the next morning or at O dark thirty. It’s not so much a morning urgency issue as it is a task I would rather do in the evening as a camp chore rather than in the morning when trying to get on the trail hiking. Will hang three hunters ribbons; where to enter the woods, direction to go, and over the hole. And being a loving husband I even pre-dig my wife’s cat hole.
