Anyone tried any new recipes for a Dehydrator? I've tried almost everything, from Chicken to leftovers Chinese food. Sometimes I would like something different like Meatloaf or a BLT. (Would I get looks if I could make that out on the trail!)

We are advised to eat more protein, so we dry cooked hamburger (brown then rinse in a collander), steak, and bacon, and then pack them in foodsafe vacuum bags for individual meals. Works great, tastes wonderful on the trail mixed with dried vegetables, cheese, etc. I think protein in a hiking diet is underrated. Since there's little insulin spike, you don't get the fierce "hiker hunger' that drives people nuts around food.
