    Default outhouse with a view

I loved the backpacker campsite 1/2 mile south of Sunfish Pond in NJ. It was situated in open woods with grass underfoot and was large enough that many groups could camp there without being close together. It was also situated near the edge of a ridge, though the ridge was wooded so the view wasn't completely clear. At the time I was there in 2000, one of the outhouses was on the edge of the ridge with the door opening toward the ridge and away from the campsite. A view to be enjoyed while taking care of business.

LOL, I always have a good view, because I never use outhouses (or port-a-potties).

Catholes for me. Sitting on a piece of contaminated ply-wood with a hole cut in it doesn't appeal to my tastes. Perhaps if there was a clean toilet seat...

Add to this the fact that you can feel your lungs starving for oxygen from the anaerobic gasses swirling around you, and the leaning tower that you first have to knock down with a stick.

    I'd rather squat
