Churchill Scott Shelter, on Pico Peak at 2,600 feet. In a hardwood forest, near a natural spring. Built in August '02 on the AT/LT relo, the shelter and privy had to conform to the ADA/ABA rules and will need an incinerator to burn composted toilet waste. On November 10th the shelter named after longtime trail volunteer Walter Churchill Scott was dedicated in the memory of Alice Ference, a thruhiker who drowned in the Kennebec in 1985.
