    Red face On The Ridgeline

    On The Ridgeline

As I wandered through the woods one day
    I found a trail
I knew where it would take me, if I so desired
To explore my mind, to test my soul
Desire ran deep, wisdom said yes
Follow your heart, do your best
    So I walked
    And I walked
    And I found peace
    And I found tranquility
    And I found friendship
    And I found a strength I didn't know I had
But most of all, I found myself
Walk 10 miles in the wilderness, alone, in the clouds, in silence
With nothing but nature surrounding you
Sleep under a blanket of stars, with the sounds of nature for music
And you will know what it means to be an AT hiker
To feel your body strengthen each passing day
To feel the rush of seeing the grass when you crest the mountain
And knowing that you get to do it all again tomorrow
    Life is good
