I had the same problem. I fixed it by updating my Quicktime (free download version) then everything worked fine.

I have trouble playing it in quicktime, so I used VLC instead, it pretty much plays anything you can throw at it. Though also it could be a problem with not having the correct codec installed.

So first I'd trying using this program, (don't worry, it's free)

    http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

And if that fails I would suggest finding a 'codec pack' and installing it.

LK - nice first episode. How funny your Amtrak train needed a new engine. Good rattlesnake shot.

    I never heard any whining.

All I viewed was the excitement of a hiker and his anticipation to film.

    Sounded all positive to me.

    LK,
I really liked the clip, can't wait for more!!
I am so envious that you're out there and I'm at home not there!!
But broken hip in February stopped my PCT this year-maybe next year.
    Great hiking,

I think that means..."can I get some Wine?"...which suits me as well.

Well I did the Quicktime upgrade, but when I clicked the link on AOL it played no problem using AOL's media player. Also works fine using Quicktime 7 with Firefox. Love the video, scenery is great. I expect the final version to be awesome. It's tough not to whine through the desert, or the snowpack, or the fords, or the swarms of mosquitoes, or the bears when they steal your food, but doesn't mean you're having a bad time!
