If you want to pull a big day, this shelter to Quincy's is the way to go. Flat to gently slopping downhill the whole way with well spaced shelters for a few breaks. Light pack as you head into Damascus.
I did this 33 miles in 10 hours and then proceeded to eat two large pizzas in a row. Then I was looking around thinking, "MAN...I could go for something to eat!"

Model T told me that story last year while we were overnighting at Big South Fork. He tells a reallly, really good story. Scared the crap out of me. The guy threw her over the cliff behind the shelter. Other hikers came up later and saw the blood and found her body.
