    Default Silnylon Stuff Bags

    Help...I purchased silnylon stuff bags from REI and Gallyans and nobody can tell me what you use to seal the seams or where to get it. Anybody know??

    I used Silnet from Campmor to seal mine, no problems so far

    Check out this thread for a how-to. I think you can use normal Silicon based caulk (deluted with something??), but you'll end up way more sealer than you'll for 1000 bags.

    Here are the instructions for making your own sealer.

    Just be sure the sealer you use is silicon based. Other type of sealer will bunch up, won't work, but can be removed with, of course, a special remover. The sealer can be found in the paint section of hardware stores, but you won't save that much, if anything, from Silnet at the camping stores.

    mix silicone caulk(clear)with naptha(or white gas) 1:1 ratio, ventillation and caution of course. gas evaporates, silicone seals.
