it was most definiately super weather, it was a better summit day that I could have ever imagined in early October. It was cold none the less with ice hanging from the sign with low 30 temps and 15 to 20 mph gusts.

Congrats, Cheesewhiz! And all the rest. Glad to hear that you guys finished.

I made it to Pine Grove Furnace on Aug 28 to finish the flip-flop. Now I'm back in OH teaching for the fall...

Congradulations Cheeswiz. I gotta admit I have been following those photo shows for months. They help me get my trail fix and keep my sanity over here. Thanks for the great pictures.

Congrats, Cheeze! I summited the 8th, just got back home now (and finally registered on this site to boot). You had a good crew up there, good folks all around. I was up there with Johnny K, Tay, Onestep, and two other guys who I hadn't met before but had just caught up w/ me at Baxter.

The hammock was GREAT! I used it every night from hot Springs, NC North and only slept in a shelter once. I used the JRB under and top quilts and they were my favorite piece of gear and other hammockers were very jealous. lots of hammocks but nobody else used quilts. I am pretty sure that some of them will be converting now that they are home and have an income!
