    Default Speer PeaPod 8.5 woohooo

I attended the Gathering this past weekend and while there upgraded my original Speer PeaPod was of sewn through construction and of late spring/summer/early fall loft. My new Speer PeaPod is fully baffled, 900 fill power down, and will accomodate my shoulder width and completely enclose me pod-style!!!
Slept in it under the pavillion with no tarp with serious wind as anyone who attended this year's gathering will attest, temp was just below 32F (ice in the water bottle)...inside was an Arc Alpinist and I was ever so cozy.
For guys wearing 44 and up this is THE pod to get. If your jacket size is smaller then you'll have to make the decision between other Speer models and the Hiker/Biker or Mt. Rogers offered by Jacks-r-Better.
    Weights for a winter system:
    Speer Hammock and PeaPod 8.5 3lb 11oz
Arc Alpinist (20 degree top quilt) 20oz
    McCat Deluxe/Balaclava and down socks 1lb 4oz
Insurance CCF Pad torso to tail 4oz.
    We're talking bliss to the mid 20's F for 6lb 11oz
    Thanks Ed and POG !!!
