    Question Insulation

Where can you buy Polargaurd 3D insulation? I got 15yds. of lightweight nylon last night at W-M and to make some quilts, and now I am searching for the insulation.

    Much Thanks,
    Bubba

    Try here-http://www.owfinc.com/Fabrics/insulation.asp
They won't give the name for some reason but it's PG3D.
This is also a good insulation-http://www.thru-hiker.com/MaterialDe...cat=Insulation

Thanks. I found OWF in another post. Have you used the insulation from Thru Hiker? How does it compare to the 3D?

I have just received an order from Thru-Hiker of some Primaloft Sport (1.2 inches loft). I have not yet sewn it into my under-quilt (Kick-ass style) so I do not have a report yet. They are relatively prompt in getting the order out via USPS though.

on that owfinc site, what is the PCF?
    site text:
Polyester Continuous Filament: (Top of the line insulation, we are not allowed to use the brand name in print.)Polyester Continuous Filament has greater compressibility, softness and warmth. High insulative value when wet (28% warmer than wet down)

    EDIT
    I called, this is polarguard.

    Default Insulation

The Climashield XP that Thru-Hiker.com sells is much better than Polarguard 3D. The cost is almost the same. Both the 3D and the XP are made by the same company.
