    Wow, this is sort of an incendiary question, isn't it? Lots of 2006 thrus skipped large portions of the trail, but nothing like Bryson's comrade in arms. The worst yellowblazer I know still hiked 1600 miles.

    How can ya be called a thru hiker and yelowblaze large sections? AllisonWonderland ('98) Yellowblazed like mad but she never claimed to be a thru hiker "just long distance section hiker".

    Hokay hokay, I shoulld have said " people that turn up in towns when you least expect them to" . . . how the heck can I tell if they are through-hikers or not? Maybe they went back and finished all the sections in December or something
